This is a wonderful loop around the town of Tring. The route has a bit of everything. You will walk alongside canals, through woodland, climb to excellent view points, and follow quiet country lanes. The first quarter is flat, the second is almost all uphill, the third quarter is a mix of up and down, and the final leg is flat.
A circular walk enjoying the secluded paths and woodlands of the undulating countryside between Essendon, Howe Green, Little Berkhamsted, Epping Green, and Wildhill. The walk passes four pubs. It can be muddy in places after rain. The route crosses a golf course.

A half-day walk, keeping, as close as possible using public footpaths, bridleway, byways, permissive paths, and quiet lanes to the boundary of the historic parish of North Mymms in south Hertfordshire, which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Allow four to five hours.
