Walk 270: Bramfield North Loop

4.2 miles (6.7 km) with 79m of total ascent

Tewin bridleway 40 at point 13 in the walk

This is a lovely walk over rolling countryside to the north of Bramfield. At several points you will be treated to wide open views to the south and east. In the summer you will pass alongside fields of wild flowers. The walk follows quiet country lanes, permissive paths, and public rights of way.

Walk 217: Bramfield South-East Loop

3.2 miles (5.2 km) with 29m of total ascent

Bramfield bridleway 9 between points 5 & 6

This is our fourth walk from Bramfield, this time exploring the countryside to the SE of the village. We have created this route in response to a request in our recent survey for shorter and flatter walks. The route crosses several arable fields. Some of the paths will get ploughed over at certain times of the year and walking can be difficult until the rights of way are reinstated. Walk 212: Bramfield South Loop

3.7 miles (6 km) with 54m of total ascent

Tewin bridleway 4 between points 17 & 18

This, our third walk from the village of Bramfield, explores the countryside to the S of the village. It includes paths that feature on two of our other walks in the collection, but walked in reverse so the views are different. The route crosses arable land, cuts through one livestock field where horses were grazing when we tested the walk, then follows bridleways and footpaths through woodland.

The walk starts and finishes at The Grandison pub/restaurant on Bury Lane, Bramfield, and has the option of a short detour to The Rose and Crown in Tewin soon after the halfway point.

Walk 188: Bramfield West Loop

6.1 miles (9.8 km) with 120m of total ascent

The route between points 17 & 18

This is our second walk from Bramfield, this time exploring the countryside N and W of the village, passing through the lovely Bramfield Woods then returning via Tewin following bridleways and footpaths over rolling open countryside with views on all sides.

Walk 44: Bramfield Loop

3.7 miles (5.85 km) with 60m total ascent

An undulating walk through farmland and woodland with the option of refreshments at The Grandison in Bramfield at the start, finish. There are some good wide paths for most of the way, and, if you are walking in June or July look out for the poppies between points 3 and 4 in the directions below. If you are walking in the winter it can be muddy, especially leading up to point 4 and leading up to point 7. The starting point for the walk is 2.7 miles NW of Hertford North Station by road.
