Walk 270: Bramfield North Loop

4.2 miles (6.7 km) with 79m of total ascent

This is a lovely walk over rolling countryside to the north of Bramfield. At several points you will be treated to wide open views to the south and east. In the summer you will pass alongside fields of wild flowers. The walk follows quiet country lanes, permissive paths, and public rights of way.

Walk 232: Watton-at-Stone to Welwyn North Linear

This is a lovely station-to-station linear walk which starts and Watton-at-Stone Station then heads south-west via Brickground Wood and Tewin Wood before dropping down to Welwyn North Station. It is one of 15 linear walks on the site which have been created for those who prefer to leave the car at home and travel by public transport. The White Horse at Burnham Green is a 380m detour about two-thirds of a way along the walk. You will cross one livestock field where there are signs asking dog owners to keep their pets on the lead.

This is our second walk from Bramfield, this time exploring the countryside N and W of the village, passing through the lovely Bramfield Woods then returning via Tewin following bridleways and footpaths over rolling open countryside with views on all sides.

Walk 46: Tewin North Loop

4.3 miles (7 km) with 108m total ascent

An undulating walk around the village of Tewin crossing open fields, climbing some hills, following footpaths alongside woodland, and ending in a pub beer garden. This walk includes the option of visiting another pub at the halfway point.
