Walk 266: Hebing End North-East Loop

This is a lovely walk over rolling countryside south of Benington. The route starts and finishes at The Lordship Arms at Hebing End then explores some wonderful countryside with great views. There are large stretches where the only sound you can hear is birdsong and the occasional plane.

Walk 169: Burn's Green North Loop

6.2 miles (10.1km) with 129m of total ascent

Benington restricted byway 39 towards the end of the walk

This is a lovely walk which starts and finishes at the Lordship Arms in Burn's Green. It follows footpaths, bridleways, and byways over rolling countryside with wide open views across north Hertfordshire.

Walk 103: Benington North-West Loop

6 miles (9.7km) with 136m total ascent

 

This circular walk is our second from Benington, the other is Walk 102: Benington NE Loop. Walk 103 heads NW out of the village before looping round to the south along byways and footpaths and across fields. The walk involves some lane walking, but, when we did it they were quiet. Sadly the village  pub, The Bell, has not reopened since covid. Please let us know if this changes by using the comment form beneath the directions.

Walk 102: Benington North-East Loop

5.9 miles (9.5 km) with 85m of total ascent

 

This walk has some great views across the north Hertfordshire countryside. It follows many well-defined tree-lined tracks and footpaths. Walk 59: The Burns Green South Loop

4.2 miles (6.7 km) with 111m of total ascent

 

A mix of shaded footpaths and byways, woodland and wide-open views across beautiful, undulating Hertfordshire countryside around Burn's Green to the east of Stevenage. The walk starts and finishes at the excellent Lordship Arms pub, famous for its real ale.
