Walk 283: Much Hadham West Loop

This is a great walk for those who enjoy wide open views across rolling countryside well away from traffic and people. At times all you will hear is birdsong and the occasional plane overhead. There is a good mix of footpaths, bridleways and byways with some shaded stretches.

Walk 201: Much Hadham North Loop

6.1 miles (9.8 km) with 138m of total ascent

Much Hadham bridleway 5 between points 4 & 5

This is a lovely walk that follows footpaths, bridleways and byways on either side of the River Ash between Much Hadham and Hadham Ford. It involves a fair amount of up and down, but it's worth it for the great views along the way.

Walk 106: Much Hadham South-East Loop

6.1 miles (9.7 km) with 127m of total ascent

 

This is a great walk for anyone who wants some fairly steep ups and downs and likes wide-open views. The tracks are well-signposted and good underfoot, although they can be muddy after rain. At one point you cross a field with rare-breed cattle grazing, including a bull. But a notice on the gate describes the cattle as “well-tempered and docile”, and they ignored us when we walked across their field.

Walk 92: Much Hadham South Loop

4.9 miles (7.8 km) with 91m total ascent

This is an undulating walk through some open countryside, deep woodland and along a river. At one point you cross the dismantled Buntingford branch line. The walk starts and finishes in the village of Much Hadham.
